The expansion of So Energy's brand, products, and services necessitated a scalable design system that could accommodate the growing requirements. One of the main challenges was to create a cohesive visual language while ensuring a seamless user experience across different platforms and devices. Drawing inspiration from the Atomic Design methodology, I started by breaking down the user interface into fundamental building blocks called atoms. These atoms included typography, colour palettes, grids, spacing, and icons. Next, I combined these atoms to form molecules, such as buttons, accordions, and data tables, which served as functional components. Finally, I integrated the molecules into higher-level organisms, such as page layouts, ensuring a holistic approach to the design system.
